The design sprint is normally a step-by-step, one-week process going from nothing maybe like a big challenge to having a high fidelity prototype or a testable product at the end of the week.

It started when Jake Knapp, John Zeratski and Braden Kowitz from Google Ventures wrote this book and coined the terms the Design Sprint’s and this is the book that sort of defines the process step by step.

The Design Sprint process has been used for hundreds and thousands of companies around the world to speed up their design processes

This process test big ideas fast so there’s a lot of different ways to run as design sprints but normally the way we do it is a four day process running from Monday to Thursday The clients can come with a very big challenge a very big problem, we spend the first half of the day on Monday just pulling together all the different challenges they have and prioritizing them into some sort of order and aligning the entire team together on what we want to work on the second half of Monday is all about producing solutions as many as possible, so quantity over quality and getting them into the rhythm of just producing as many solutions as possible without actually talking a lot so the Tuesday’s but selecting the solutions who want to go forward with and then storyboarding step-by-step exactly how that prototype is going to look.

The Wednesday is just about nothing else but about pumping out the screens and producing the prototypes and putting it all together and the Thursday it’s just about testing the prototype and getting actionable results so between the Monday and Thursday you go from nothing to a high fidelity tangible prototype that looks like the real thing and you get to test it as we people.

The process explained above is the normal process in four days, what New HairCut propose is an Immersive Design Sprint Workshop, so the complete process is in 2 days. The workshop will be held in Milano on 5th and 6th October.

In 2 intensive days, you’ll learn and practice different ideation techniques and the best methods to empathize with your customers, like Lightning Demos, Sketching, User Story Mapping, Prototyping and Customer Interviews.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have the right knowledge and process to drive hi-impact innovation inside your organization.

You can find the detailed program of the workshop at the above link and also you can buy your tickets.
